Proposition No. 1 Property Tax Levy for Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services The Board of Skagit County Fire Protection District No. 14 adopted Resolution No. 2020-03 concerning a proposition to maintain and adequately fund District operations.

This proposition authorizes Skagit County Fire Protection District No. 14 to establish its regular property tax levy at $1.05 per $1,000.00 of assessed valuation in 2019 and authorizes annual increases of up to 3% each of the five succeeding years to maintain fire protection, emergency medical services and to provide for firefighter safety. The maximum allowable levy in 2025 shall serve as the base for subsequent levy limitations as

Cemetery, a scattering garden for ashes, a columbarium, reclamation of portions of the Cemetery for future use, and other work.

The proposition increases the levy from $0.015 to $0.04 per thousand dollars assessed value of real property in the District. The rate would be the base for future levy limits.
