Industrial Revolution Mind Map

Name _____________________________________ hour _____

Directions: Students will create a mind map/graphic organizer that illustrates how concepts related to the Industrial Revolution connect to one another. Students will use the concepts/ideas listed below. Students will also draw inventions or innovations of the industrial era (see the end of you notes) to create a perimeter or border around the map.

For each concept/idea include an appropriate illustration along with a 2-3 sentence description. The central starting point is your Industrial Revolution related title. See below and scoring rubric for further directions.

Central Concept:

• Industrial Revolution Title (starting Point – put in middle of paper)

For example, to represent electricity you might draw a lightbulb; to represent trains you might draw some train tracks. Be creative! No explanation is needed for these. Students may want to put one in each corner and in the middles between the corners.

Rubric/Requirements: Project is worth 40pts total
