Manual installation eduVPN for WindowsYou can install eduVPN yourself via Software Center.Step 1: Open Software CenterOpen the Windows Start menu with the Windows button at the bottom left of your screen.Type ‘Software Center’Click on 'Software Center' to open it 018351500 Step 2: Find eduVPNSearch for eduVPN by typing eduVPN in the search field at the top right-hand corner or by scrolling through the list of applications.Step 3: Install eduVPNClick the blue 'Install' button and the installation will be executed.Note: Ignore the version number. eduVPN is updated all the timeWhen the installation is finished, you will see this screen.Exit Software Center INCLUDEPICTURE "" \* MERGEFORMATINET Step 4: Sign-in on EduVPNOpen the Windows Start menu with the Windows button at the bottom left of your screen.Type ‘eduVPN’Click on ‘eduVPN’ to open it When you open the program or app for the first time, you have to create a profile?The code is sent to your mobile phone via SMS. This is the mobile number you registered in .Enter the access code.Step 5: Give permissionIn the next screen you're requested for permission (from your account) that the eduVPN software is allowed to use your account. Agree to this by clicking on ‘Toestaan’. The website now sends information back to the eduVPN software, which might require separate permission. Click on ‘Toestaan’ which means ‘Allow’. Please note: A time out is set, after 24 hours the eduVPN connection will be disconnected. Start eduVPN therefore daily and disconnect the VPN connection at the end of your working day. This prevents you from being 'thrown out', e.g. in the middle of a Skype or Team meeting or while you are working on a document that you have stored on a network drive.Please note: By default, a VPN connection prevents access to home network facilities such as a printer.
