High School Diploma preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience operating tractors, large movers or earth moving equipment, and effective communication skills. Golf course maintenance experience a plus.

Overview

WDW Resort Golf is looking to build a strong apprentice program of goal oriented, high achievers. There will be growth opportunities for strong performers, both here at The Happiest Place on Turf as well as within the Arnold Palmer Golf Management company.

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and professional individuals who want to build a succesful career in the golf industry. Applicants should possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic along with an intellectually curious desire to learn, grow and develop.

Commitment to the team's success as well as your own is very important. The status quo will not be accepted as we look to improve ourselves and the operation every day. A willingness to accept and learn from feedback is required and will be one of the most important attributes to progress within our operation.

This opportunity will not be for everyone as expectations put on you will be very high. The pace is much faster than most other golf operations and the business volumes are much higher. This is not the right environment for someone looking to coast and just show up, putting in their time.

Candidates who feel that they have nothing to learn will not fit in well nor will complainers and negative individuals. If you are willing to put in the effort, both mentally and physically, to become one of the better golf professionals on the public /resort side of the industry, you may want to seriously consider this opportunity.

Essential Responsibilities:

Varies as assistants rotate through different areas of responsibility, but will include guest service, golf shop operations, merchandising, player services, instuction, tournament operations and all aspects of a resort golf operation. Focus will be on learning business skills while developing leadership qualities.
