Session Information

Description

This session is designed to provide teachers with the critical program components they need to ensure success on Day 1 in the classroom, including print and digital features of the program. This session is interactive and includes a culminating, application-oriented activity, such as planning a lesson, so participants can immediately apply what they have learned. Program Activation alone does not ensure implementation fidelity, but it will provide teachers with the tools needed to get started.

Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to

• understand the philosophy behind Math Navigator research;

• understand how misconceptions affect student learning;

• know where to find components of the program;

• understand the rituals and routines for Math Navigator;

• identify rituals and routines in a modeled lesson; and

• understand how to enroll, enter test data, and find students on Assessment and Reporting Online System (ARO).
