King Date: 12/2018JOB SUMMARYThe IS Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of large, complex strategic and operational UW Health initiatives that include a significant amount of IS work. The IS Project Manager works closely with IS teams and stakeholders across the UW Health system including our partners. He/she develops program/project plans, proactively manages risks and issues, and leads successful delivery. Scope of the initiative includes business process redesign, technology implementation, organizational change management, training, adoption, and measurement of project outcomes.The IS Project Manager supports improvement in project management standards and processes across all areas in UW Health IS. He/she participates in developing and delivering project management training. He/she participates in and/or leads process improvement initiatives in UW Health IS.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESProject DeliveryServe as project and/or program manager for assigned initiatives, workstreams and projects. Manage assigned areas within the initiative including business process redesign, technical, organizational change management, communication, training, legal/agreements, and evaluation of project outcomes.Act as liaison between various areas and departments on a given project, ensuring effective integration and communication.Ensure that best practices are consistently used for assigned initiatives including estimation, change control, proactive risk management, issue tracking, and status reporting.Facilitate workgroups related to assigned initiatives, workstreams and projects.Improve Project Management Processes, Standards and ExecutionShare project management experience. Assist colleagues across UW Health IS who are managing projects.Demonstrate best practices. Serve as a coach or mentor where applicable and assist in lessons learned discussions.Participate in project management quality assurance processes.Participate in developing and/or delivering project management training.Effective Team MemberParticipate in and/or lead process improvement initiatives within UW Health IS.Consistently demonstrate a very high level of teamwork, partnership and collaboration.
