|SUBJECT: |UNION ORIENTATION MATERIALS |

|Purpose: |To notify AAA, DDD, and HCS staff of new union orientation materials that must be distributed to Individual |

| |Providers (IPs) with orientation materials. |

|Background: |Article 2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Washington and the Service Employees |

| |International Union (SEIU), requires the department, and contractors, to include the union orientation |

| |materials with IP orientation packets. |

|What’s new, changed, or |Union orientation materials will be arriving in your regional offices shortly. Please distribute these |

|Clarified |materials to your local offices. |

| |The union orientation materials must be included in the IP orientation packets. |

| |It is the Union’s responsibility to provide sufficient copies of the materials for distribution. |

| |If you need more of these materials, contact Jackie Myers at the Home Care Quality Authority at |

| |1-866-580-4272 or 360-725-2618. |

|ACTION: |Immediately upon arrival, please distribute union orientation materials to IPs with your caregiver |

| |orientation packets. |
