                                                   2016 Range Rules                                                  

All persons entering onto club grounds shall obey all club rules and regulations!

1) No person shall discharge a firearm on club property unless that person is a member & range-master or a range-master is present. No guests are permitted to use any of the club ranges unless written authorization by the president, vice president, or head range-master. If any person is found in violation of club rules, they will be expelled from the club and/or fined for trespassing to the fullest extent of the law.

2) When using the designated shooting ranges, all members must sign in with required information & sign out when leaving. Current membership card must be displayed while on the range. Members must show a photo I.D. when asked by the range-master.

3) Use of paper targets is permitted only on designated steel backstops. NO Cans, bottles, boxes, frames or unapproved targets of any kind may be used.

4) Shoot from designated firing lines only. Lower 7yd Firing line may only be used by W.C.P.P.C. approved members. Membership card will have W.C.P.P.C. stamped in RED.

5) While on duty, the range-master shall wear his/her orange hat. All persons must follow directions of the range-master.

6) No shooting before 9:00 am on Saturday / 10:00 am on Sunday / 8:00 Weekdays. Range closes @ Sunset.

7) Eye & Ear protection is REQUIRED when on the shooting range.

8) ALWAYS point the muzzle of all firearms in a safe direction.

9) ALWAYS Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.

10) ALWAYS keep your firearm UNLOADED until you are in a safe shooting position and are ready to fire.

11) Clean up all brass, trash and dispose of properly. Do not leave any live ammunition on range or dispose of in the trash. Place any misfires/duds in dedicated Red receptacle located on each range for disposal.

12) Adhere to the 10-minute shooting time limit for checking/changing targets when other shooters are present..

13) ALWAYS activate the yellow warning light when proceeding downrange. All firearms shall be unloaded with magazines out, actions open, EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR in place. Never handle a firearm when someone is downrange or light is on. NEVER !

14) Use of ammunition with steel jackets, steel core or core materials other than lead, Armor Piercing, Penetrator Ammo, or incendiary material is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. NO .50cal BMG ammo is permitted.

15) Trap Shooting may only be done during sanctioned club functions. Only low-brass/target-loads are permitted.

16) No fully automatic fire is permitted !. Rate of fire must be at a Safe & Controllable manner, not greater than one round in 2 seconds for handguns & 1 round in 5 seconds for Rifle & Shotguns. Maximum 10 rounds per string.

17) Upper Range: Positions #1- #8 are for the 100yd range only. . Position #9 is for 50 & 100 yard. Position #10 is 50 yd. Off-hand Rifle/Shotgun/Handgun. Positions #11 & 12 for 25 & 50 yd Handgun/Shotgun & .22 Rimfire Rifle. Off-hand shooting is permitted only under range-master supervision. NO 100-yard shooting is permitted from positions # 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14.

18) Lower Range: Handgun & .22 Rimfire Rifle Only !. (NO Center fire Rifle Cartridges permitted.)

19) Jr. Members: A person under age 18 years of age shall not possess or transport a firearm on club grounds. Unless the minor is under the direct supervision of a parent, grandparent, legal guardian or an adult acting with the expressed consent of the minors parent or legal guardian & the minor is engaged in lawful activity, including safety training, lawful target shooting, organized competition or the firearm is unloaded and the minor is transporting it for a lawful purpose.
