|formal homework from children in Nursery there are many ways in which parents and teachers can work | | |

|together to support children’s learning. | | |

|You can help your child develop literacy skills through story telling, songs, rhymes, language games etc.| | |

|Maths skills can also be developed with young children by playing number games such as counting, sorting | | |

|and matching objects. | | |

|The most important support you can provide is time - time to ask questions, even the obvious ones. (What| | |

|did you do at Nursery today?). And time to listen! | | |

| | | |

|The important thing is that learning is enjoyable for you and your child. Please ask your child’s | | |

|teacher for advice if you need further help. | | |
