1. Community Helper Sorting Mats. Print out the sorting mats and the object cards. Cut up the object cards and have your child put on the correct mat with the corresponding community helper. Practice labelling the common items.

2. Helper Hats

Print, have children color all images on the page, cut along dashed lines with 2 pieces, attach the 2 pieces together on both sides with tape/staples to make a crown style hat. OR Helpers Finger Puppets: Print out the occupation that you want, color, cut out and tape or glue onto a toilet paper roll.

WEDNESDAY: Lindsay/Diane Songs: Shopping at the Grocery Store Song Activities:

1. Use the shopping list visual to follow along with the song and count quantities to 4. Also, if you have a grocery store flyer, you can have your child label the foods and circle foods they like.

2. Color and send a thank you to a community worker. It can be a firefighter, chef, doctor, nurse, police officer, bus driver, grocer, teacher or anyone in the community that you want to say thank you to. THURSDAY: Becky/Michelle Book: Pete the Kitty Goes to the Doctor Activities:

1. Pretend to be a doctor and work on putting bandaids on different body parts. Work on fine motor skills by opening the bandaid and placing on the body part. Another variation is to put letters on the body and on the bandaids and have children match letters. If you don't have bandaids, you can use pieces of tape or stickers. The Boo Boo Song

2. Community Helper Puzzles (putting numbers in order). Print out the vehicles, write numbers 1-10 and then cut on the lines. Use a highlighter or yellow marker to make the lines bolder and easier to follow while cutting. Modify to be sequencing 1-5.

FRIDAY: Choose a favorite activity from the week and repeat it.

1. Use a spray bottle and pretend to put out a fire. You can write numbers or letters on red, yellow, or orange pieces of paper cut in the shape of flames (put in zip lock bags).
