The Procurement Manager responsibilities include developing strategies for procurement.The Procurement Manager’s duty?is to ensure that procurement is fit for purpose and achieves value for money, efficiencies, and probity so that the company can invest in growth and people.Key Responsibilities:Review the organisations’ current procurement strategies and policiesEnsure that strategies comply with regulatory and statutory obligations such as value for money, quality impact assessments, ethical trading, modern slavery, environmental considerations, and future generations principles.Ensure that procurement strategies support the objectives of the organisations in respect of issues such as community benefits, local supply chains, supporting small businesses, training, and apprenticeships Establish processes that ensure probity and financial and management controlDevise and advise on effective sourcing strategiesSharing procurement?opportunities between the three RSLs to drive value through supply chains & improve outcomesEstablish effective supply chains and?initiate?strong business and organisation?partnershipsNegotiate with external suppliers to secure?advantageous?termsReview and evaluate existing contractsTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessContribute to reports for stakeholders on how procurement is contributing to organisational objectives and achieving regulatory and legal complianceCollaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the organisationsPerform risk management for supply contracts and agreementsTake advice where necessary on contractual matters to ensure legal compliance and effective risk management of the procurement process Work with auditors to ensure that procurement is appropriately scrutinised and any audit recommendations are implemented in a timely mannerAdvise and support the organisations to control spend and?build a culture of?long-term saving on procurement costsWork collaboratively with the finance teams to ensure internal controls are being adhered to ................
