Job Title: Event Sales Associate (year-round, full time) Department: West Shore Caf? and Inn Accountability: Weddings and Events Sales Manager/ Revenue & Operations Manager Compensation: $18 per hour plus 1% of F&B Service Charge plus 1% commission on all contracted events booked by Sales Associate plus Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance plus Cell Phone Reimbursement (max of $75)
Job Summary
The Events Sales Associate will be responsible for the maintenance and flow of the sales department and all systems included as well as be responsible for the planning and execution of event driven marketing initiatives, which influence the daily summer and winter programing on-resort. They will be responsible for overseeing the sales inquiries for all properties and for ensuring all standards are being met by providing accurate and accountable information to potential clients, including spearheading the planning and execution of inhouse on-resort events, 3rd party events, music bookings, and other resort campaigns. They will be responsible for all event sales admin work including: creating BEO's, diagrams, rental orders, upselling of the property, maintaining up to date master calendar, maintaining wedding/event lodging blocks, reporting, inventory management, and forward progression and development.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks
Event Sales Duties
? Event Sales focused on small groups and dinner parties ? Keeping up with correspondence and have accountable response times ? Monitoring and tracking of clients requesting information ? Continuation of customer service standards ? Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting ? Booking and facilitating site tours ? Maintenance and confirmation of Wedding Lodge blocks ? Coordination assistance on Event day ? Direct contact with current and future clients ? Communication with management teams on any needs or areas of concern that may
affect other departments
? Heavily invested in administration/computer work ? Coordinate scheduling of events and music for multiple properties ? Work with media and public affairs team to coordinate press events and messaging
is timed and released to effectively promote events ? Update the web site, phones, and third party web sites with ongoing event
information ? Works closely with the Interactive Coordinator and Graphic Design and Media
Coordinator to produce flyers for the event, schedule social posts and generate event listings on 3rd party sites ? Work with Wedding Events team to generate "The Week Ahead" document for circulation with entire staff
Additional Job Responsibilities
? Attending all BEO/OPS meetings and other meetings pertaining to the WSC ? Supporting F&B teams during peak restaurant periods ? Supporting events teams during peak event seasons ? Work closely with Human Resources to generate resort-wide messaging and
training programs that will ensure proper trickle-down of marketing information ? Serves as the marketing team's point person in collaborating with Retail and
Food/Beverage Supervisors for day of F&B needs ? Assists other members of the Marketing team during busy periods and large team
projects
West Shore/Homewood Policy ? Adhere to all policy outlined in the West Shore & Homewood Policy Manual. ? Be on time to work for all scheduled shifts. ? Follows grooming standards. ? Facilitate exceptional dining experience for our guests by following West Shore/Homewood Sequence of Service.

Facility and Equipment ? Maintain atmosphere, cleanliness and staging of the sales department.
? Maintain a clean and organized work space in the dining room, server stations, expo line, employee break area, linen storage area, employee locker area and pump room.
Financial ? Use POS system to place orders and collect payments. ? Follow West Shore/Homewood Server Banking Procedures. ? Use secure methods to collect and retain payment information for large parties

meet deadlines. Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. ? Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments on a daily basis. ? Enjoys working in a team environment. ? Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision. ? A love of skiing and/or snowboarding and the people who make these mountains
special a plus. ? Intermediate or advanced skiing or snowboarding ability preferred. ? 21 years of age or older.
Experience/ Education ? Previous sales and or event experience, previous industry experience and previous restaurant operations experience. Pervious supervisory experience recommended ? Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; some experience with website content management systems
? Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Equipment Used (But not Limited Too) ? Aloha POS, RTP POS, Room Key System, Social Table, Caterease, phones, voicemails and email, Telephones, PC, database, office supplies, and filing cabinets, Event properties such as, tables, chairs, EZ up tents, power cords, flags, banners, Handheld radio, Cash registers and Snow removal equipment.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 100% or more of a normal 8 hour (10 hours in winter) work shift. Must be capable of regularly lifting, pushing or pulling 30lbs or more and occasionally lifting, pushing or pulling up to 60lbs. Must be able to legibly write by hand.
Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a fast paced, high volume restaurant environment. During the winter, harsh winter weather conditions may occur en route to work place. During the summer the employee may be required to work outside in a sun exposed environment that can reach up to 90 degrees and over.
Standard of Measurement The Event Sales Associate will be directly responsible and accountable for his/her accomplishments relating to all areas listed above. Specific performance measures and goals will be directly associated with this position.
Employment with West Shore/Homewood is "at will" for no definite period of time. The employee may terminate employment at any time without notice or cause, and so too can West Shore terminate employment relationship at any time without notice or cause.
