The DPO Centre is the UK's data protection officer resource centre. We provide `fractional' (so less than part time) outsourced Data Protection Officer resources to over 380 organisations across the UK, ranging from 1 to 8 days of resource per month. We also provide EU Representation services to a range of US and Asian medical and tech organisations.

Candidate profile

To support the continued growth in our client base and expansion of our marketing activities, we require an exceptional Head of Marketing to help create, implement and manage these activities to build our brand, improve awareness of our services and generate leads.

You will need to be an enthusiastic team player who is well presented, articulate and has excellent written and non-verbal communication skills. You will have a career history that demonstrates a talent for developing and implementing B2B marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. You will need to possess a capacity for managing multiple exhibitions alongside numerous dynamic initiatives, as well as an inherent ability to recognise and develop commercial opportunities.

Academic qualifications are of interest, however experience, especially from within the compliance and professional services space will be considered of greater significance.

You must be highly web and IT literate, a social media expert and comfortable with managing content via WordPress in order to build and manage integrated campaigns across multiple platforms. You will be required to create professionally written content and have the ability to explain technical and legal issues in a clear, accurate layman's terms, be highly organised and disciplined, juggle multiple priorities at any one time and have a keen eye for detail.

The post is predominantly office based in Ipswich, Suffolk, though an amount of domestic and foreign travel, involving occasional overnight stays to assist with exhibitions and early starts to accommodate breakfast seminars will be necessary (once we return to face to face events).

You must enjoy working as an integral member of our team, but also be capable of managing your own workload to deliver high quality work to targets and tight deadlines. Skills and Experience

? Broad marketing background, primarily in digital but with knowledge of a full marketing mix ? ideally in a B2B professional services environment

? Strong copywriting skills both for traditional and digital copy ? Experience managing and co-ordinating specialist external agencies and freelancers ? Web and IT literate ? with experience of:

o HubSpot or similar inbound CRM systems o Social Media marketing both organic and paid (LinkedIn, Twitter) o SEO, PPC, Remarketing for Google o WordPress content management ? Ability to define personas and manage digital assets targeted at sectors and niches

Person Specification:

Education: ? A degree level qualification or above in a relevant subject ? Experience and practical knowledge is more valued than educational qualifications

Personal: ? An enthusiastic team player ? Confident, outgoing and highly organised, with drive, initiative and enthusiasm ? A willingness to learn, work hard, contribute to the team and develop new skills

Experience ? A minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience ? Ideally from a compliance or professional services related environment with an understanding of data protection and compliance regulations

Required skills: ? Highly organised, structured and disciplined ? The ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple active priorities ? Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills ? Experience of managing and implementing marketing campaigns across Social Media, SEO / PPC and traditional platforms ? Ability to attend events and accommodate occasional overnight travel

Advantageous skills ? Knowledge of the GDPR, PECR, and DPA ? Ability to format content in WordPress and code basic HTML/CSS
